About
Although originally born in Canada I have been living and studying in the United States for 17 years and have been blessed to be able to travel between both countries throughout my life. During this period I have been able to study the differences in architecture between both northern American countries and how they differ in response to climate and location. This jumpstarted my interest in architecture at an early age.
I have the most understanding of residential architecture due to my grandfathers architectural library collection as well as being able to see first hand my parents designing and constructing their home in 2023. Through seeing their residential construction process I have become much more interested in learning about the processes architectural firms go through between clients, contractors, and so on.
I have recently further explored the differences in regional architecture outside of the North American continent. For the 2024 spring semester I studied abroad in Seville, Spain with the TTU architecture program and I learned an incredible amount about different Spanish designs and construction due to space constraints, culture, and history.
Although I have mostly been exposed to residential construction and design I am very excited about learning more about other architectural genres in the future and am always eager to jump into new projects whether they are an individual or group effort.
In the future, I hope to be able to design buildings with guidance and teamwork in response to a clients needs, goals, and passions as well as in response to environment and local site culture.
